Reza Recognised with JW Roderick Prize for Best Thesis in Civil Engineering

Honours student Nanako Reza from our lab was awarded the 2023 JW Roderick Prize for Best Thesis in Civil Engineering from the School of Civil Engineering. Nanako’s honours research looked at infrastructure reconstruction and sense of place after the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami.

Nanako completed the research in the lab as part of her Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Civil) and Bachelor of Design in Architecture. Findings from the project were presented at AIWEST-DR 2022 in Sydney, where Nanako and fellow honours students Emily Ha and Sophia Costantino received the Best Student Presentation award. Congrats!
