The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is committed to ensuring that 75% of its operations support climate action by 2030. As part of this goal, their teams are looking for ways to efficiently integrate climate adaptation into their projects.
Emily Nabong – a PhD student with our lab – is currently interning with the ADB’s Sustainable Development and Climate Change Department to assist in this process. Her internship project is focused on developing a tool to identify and categorize projects by various climate risk and adaptation needs.
The placement connects closely with Emily’s doctoral research in the lab, which uses systems approaches to understand the factors that drive migration under climate change and the interventions that can best support climate-affected communities.
